VISA REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES

TEMPORARY VISITORS VISA FOR INDIVIDUALS: 9 (A) PLEASURE VISA

A. Requirements:

· Passport and travel document valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized date of stay in the Philippines;  (photocopy of the data page)

· For Chinese and other nationalities: One (1) Completed application form with photograph.  For Taiwanese:

      two (2) copies of duly accomplished visa application forms with two (2) photographs.

· Original employment certificate/introduction from work unit written in English

· Proof of financial capacity through at least one of the following documents: However, the Consular Officer may request for additional documents.

- certificate of property ownership

- bank statement

- internationally-valid credit card (photocopy)

- written guarantee executed by an accredited Chinese travel agency guaranteeing the departure of the visitor from the Philippines.

· Confirmed return/onward passage ticket (photocopy); and

· Visa fee of RMB250 per applicant for PROC Nationals and Taiwanese. RMB300-400 for other Nationalities.

 

B. Procedure:

· Applicants must apply in person or through accredited travel agents.

· Processing and releasing of visa shall not exceed three (3) working days;

· An overtime fee of 250 RMB shall be collected for one (1) day express processing, and 150 RMB for two (2) days express processing;

· A written warning against drug trafficking and prohibition against peddling by tourists shall be included in the visa application form.

 

Length of Authorized Stay in the Philippines:

From Seven (7) to Thirty (30) days

TEMPORARY VISITORS VISA FOR INDIVIDUALS: 9 (A) BUSINESS VISA

A. Requirements:

· Passport and travel document valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized date of stay in the Philippines;  (photocopy of the data page)

· For Chinese and other nationalities: One (1) Completed application form with photograph.  For Taiwanese: two (2) copies of duly accomplished visa application forms with two (2) photographs

· Original employment certificate/introduction from work unit written in English (or retirement certificate if applicant is retired)

· Original notarized written guarantee executed by a Filipino citizen or reputable Philippine company guaranteeing the departure of the visitor from the Philippines.

· Written guarantee executed by an accredited Chinese Travel agency (if applied through a Chinese Travel Agency) guaranteeing the departure of the visitor from the Philippines.

· Confirmed return/onward passage ticket (photocopy); and

· Visa fee of RMB250 per applicant for PROC Nationals and Taiwanese. RMB300-400 for other Nationalities.

FOR TRANSITING VISITORS (STAY NOT EXCEEDING 72 HOURS) - 9 (B) TRANSIT VISA

A. Requirements:

· For Chinese and other nationalities: One (1) Completed application form with photograph.  For Taiwanese: two (2) copies of duly accomplished visa application forms with two (2) photographs;

· Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized date of stay in the Philippines;

· Plane ticket with confirmed booking to the next country of destination and a valid visa to that country if one is required;

· Proof of financial capacity through the following documents: However, the Consular Officer may request for additional documents.

- employment certificate/introduction from work unit written in English
- certificate of property ownership
- written guarantee executed by an accredited Chinese travel agency
- bank statement
- internationally-valid credit card (photocopy)
- original notarized written guarantee executed by a Filipino citizen or reputable Philippine company

· Confirmed return/onward passage ticket (photocopy); and

· Visa fee of RMB200.

 

B. Procedure for Individuals:

· Applicants must apply in person or through accredited travel agents.

· Processing and releasing of visa shall not exceed three (3) working days;

· An overtime fee of 250 RMB shall be collected for one (1) day express processing, and 150 RMB for two (2) days express processing;

   

   C. Procedures for Transit Operators:

· Transit operators shall notify the Commissioner of Immigration in writing of the identities, passport numbers, travel itinerary, and other pertinent immigration data of each transient concerned within 48 hours prior to his/her arrival into the Philippines;

· Submit a written application for transient visas to the Commissioner of Immigration within 48 hours together with a Letter of Guarantee;

· Pay a P1,000 service fee to the account of the Bureau of Immigration (BI), Magallanes Drive, Intramuros, Manila for each transient;

· Upon presentation by the transit operator of the official receipt as proof of payment of the P1,000 service fee, the Commissioner of Immigration, through the Chief of the Immigration Regulation Division (IRD), shall issue a Transit Arrival Notice (TAN) to all immigration officers at authorized ports of entry. The TAN, which embodies the names of each arriving transient and the information, shall include instructions for immigration officers to admit each TAN-listed transient as a nonimmigrant, for a limited period of three (3) days. A BI identification card shall also be issued to each TAN-listed transient.

FOR SEAMAN/CREW MEMBER VISA9(C) VISA

A. Requirements:

· Seaman's book and passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized date of stay in the Philippines;

· Completed application form with photograph;

· Confirmed return/onward ticket;

· Proof of financial capacity through the  following documents:

- employment certificate/introduction from work unit written in English
- original notarized written guarantee executed by a Filipino citizen or reputable Philippine company

· Visa fee of 200 RMB.

 

B. Procedure:

· processing and releasing of visa shall not exceed three (3) working days;

· An overtime fee of 250 RMB shall be collected for one (1) day express processing, and 150 RMB for two (2) days express processing;

· A written warning against drug trafficking and prohibition against peddling by tourists shall be included in the visa application form.

TEMPORARY VISITORS VISA : TOUR GROUPS

A. Requirements:

· Passport or travel document valid for at least six (6) months beyond the period of authorized stay in the Philippines;

· Completed group tour application form with photocopies of the passport personal information page of each tour group member (1 original and 2 photocopies with the original form to be submitted to the Bureau of Immigration (BI), one photocopy for Posts record and one photocopy to the travel agent);

· Affidavit of Support and Guarantee executed by the Philippine travel agent; and

· Visa fee of 250 RMB.

B. Procedure:

· Processing and releasing of visas for group tours shall not exceed three (3) working days. Post shall have the discretion to release visas earlier depending on the volume of work;

· No overtime fee will be collected; (Not applicable to the Philippine Consulate General in Hongkong SAR);

· Visa will be stamped on the back page of the application form and the following notation will be stamped on the individual passports of each tour group member:

· One (1) visa number will be assigned to the tour group. Successive numerical suffixes will be added to the visa number on the individual passports of tour group members;
