Welcome to the Philippine Consulate General in Shanghai.  The Consulate General was established on 10 July 2002.  It is the fifth Philippine Foreign Service Post in China after the Philippine Embassy in Beijing and the Consulates in Hong Kong, Xiamen and Guangzhou.  The Consulate General has jurisdiction over the Municipality of Shanghai and the provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Hubei.

SPECIAL TRAVEL ADVISORY : TYPHOON FRANK

In a weather advisory released at 5:00 AM on 23 June 2008, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that Typhoon Frank (international name: Fengshen) has moved away from the Philippines towards Southern China.  Some parts of the country are expected to experience mild rainshowers and cloudy skies in the next few days.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) would like to assure tourists and visitors that travel-related establishments such as hotels, resorts, spas, restaurants, shopping centers and transportation services in the major tourist destinations around the country remain open for business.  Airline services have likewise assumed their regular flight schedules.
