The Philippines will be participating with a prominent 54-square meter
booth space at the China Dive Exhibition 2008 to be held at the
Shanghai East Asia Exhibition Hall on 19-21 September 2008. The
country’s elite dive resorts and operators will be on hand to transact
business with the Chinese dive operators and training schools, and
promote directly to the consumers and corporate accounts.
The Philippine Tourism Office is organizing a Philippine dive
presentation and networking cocktail party on September 18 for select
invitees from the dive business and corporate accounts, and dive seminar
at the CDEX venue on September 19 which will showcase premier dive
destinations and programs such as Anilao/Puerto Galera/Verde Island (by
US-based and world-renowned underwater photographer Robert Yin);
Live-aboard dive programs to Tubbataha and Apo Reefs, and Apo Island in
Dumaguete (by Expedition Fleet Liveaboards); Coron wreck diving (by
Nanjing-based new Navy Blue Dive Center); Threshers Sharks of
Malapascua in Cebu (by Thresher Shark Divers); and Bohol (by Philippine
Island Divers).

In a related development, the Philippine Airlines is offering new dive
programs to individual and group dive travelers to make scuba diving
more accessible to the vast Chinese market. The

Mactan Island will have additional gem with the soon-to-be
opened
