April 2008—Liwayway (China) Co. Ltd., represented by its President, Mr.
Larry Chan, received a special plaque of appreciation during the 1st
Philippine Tourism Night in Shanghai on 26 March from Tourism Secretary
Joseph H. Durano and Undersecretary Eduardo Jarque, Jr. This was to
acknowledge Liwayway’s substantial contributions to the Philippines’ tourism
campaign in China, its most generous support of the Philippine Pavilion at
the Shanghai World Expo 2010, and its consistent efforts to promote trade
and tourism between the Philippines and China. Liwayway (China) Co. Ltd., a
Philippine company founded by Special Envoy Carlos Chan has become a leading
snack food company in mainland China.
