During his meeting with Mayor Wang Shouwen, Mayor Belmonte expressed his desire to raise the level of ties between Nanjing and Quezon city and to ultimately establish sister-city relations.  Both sides identified potential areas of cooperation such as energy efficient technologies particularly solar technology, education exchange, health and wellness, ICT, investment in the new CBD, mass housing, anti-pollution technology.
