MEETS WITH KABABAYANS IN HEFEI, ANHUI PROVINCE

24 April 2008 –A delegation from Philippine Consulate General in Shanghai led by Consul General Maria Rowena Mendoza Sanchez met with the Filipino community in Hefei City, Anhui Province at the Holiday Inn Hotel in coordination with Mr. Enrico Decheta, Entertainment Manager. The Filipino community members are employed in multinational corporations, learning centers, hotels and bands and enjoy a good reputation for excellence in their work and their admirable people skills.

 

During the meeting, Consul General Sanchez informed the members of the community of the services offered by the Consulate for Filipinos in Eastern China such as: passport renewal, community ID registration, counseling and assistance to nationals, and notarials.

 

Consul General Sanchez also reiterated the Consulate’s commitment to provide quality service to all Filipinos in Eastern China and to provide full support for the community’s activities. 

 

The Philippine Consulate General was in Hefei to meet with the Vice Governor of Anhui and the Vice Mayor of Hefei City to promote the Philippines as a viable tourism, investment and trade destination for Anhui people. END
